In 2019, Emil Zenko lived and worked in Berlin. There he started the BERIN POOL project. This is a series of short videos where various surreal scenes take place in the courtyard of a private Berlin house right in an abandoned swimming pool. The idea of creating it came quite spontaneously. The kitchen windows overlooked the courtyard, so every day, over a cup of coffee, Emil watched the same surreal picture, but one evening, while doing household things and listening to classical music, he caught the mood and made a short trip to the pool right during the light snow. This short, illogical video performance became the beginning of the project, where Emil then resorted to both 3D graphics and references to various flares of modern film and music culture. In the future, a similar approach to video creation will become its characteristic feature - a simple and clear idea, the same angle and composition, short duration, limited time to create a work.
