Greenhouse is a multidisciplinary project that combines video, music and installation. The video series takes place in one space - a garden greenhouse. The basis for the surreal plots of the project was the artist's desire to use things inappropriately and to capture non-obvious and illogical situations. The absurdity of what happens in "greenhouse conditions" is often a reference to mass culture, works of art, films, music and in general to life itself and everyday life. This is a kind of conservation of images and meanings, reinterpreted and presented in a new format.
The series containing 22 short videos was created in 2019. In addition to the video for this series, the author of the project created sound design and music, which were presented in a music album GREENHOUSE released in 2020.Video production of this project from the original idea to the final result: directing, filming, editing, computer graphics, sound design and music created by the author Emil Zenko.
An important component of the GREENHOUSE project is music. Some tracks were originally written for the video from KINOPROBY, but were reworked for the video in GREENHOUSE and have a new sound and arrangement in the album, which you can listen to below.
As part of the personal exhibition, the Greenhouse project is also presented as an art object in the exhibition space, which is recreated in a natural size greenhouse in the Sleńdziński art gallery in Poland, Bialystok 2024.
GREENHOUSE Live is a 30-minute video performance combining previously released short videos in a greenhouse, as well as videos and music created in collaboration with Kinoproby production.
